From Malmö to Alaska, Stockholm to San Miguel de Allende — a story built on food, hospitality, and a love for bringing people together.

Who We Are

Anders & Kajsa

Catering San Miguel by 2 Suecos was born from a simple belief: that food and hospitality, done with genuine care, can make any moment extraordinary.

Anders and Kajsa Litzen are Swedish-born hospitality professionals who found their home — and their calling — in San Miguel de Allende. Together they bring over four decades of combined experience across restaurants, hotels, catering, and the world of agave spirits.

The name says it all. "2 Suecos" means two Swedes in Spanish — but it also means two clogs. A double meaning as deliberate as everything else they do.

Before SMA, Anders and Kajsa owned and operated restaurants in Stockholm and the US, worked in some of Mexico's finest properties, and built deep roots in the food and beverage world on two continents. They moved to San Miguel de Allende over 12 years ago and never looked back.

Anders Litzen
Co-Owner · Bar Director · Agave Specialist

Anders leads the bar program, all agave experiences, and client relationships. His career spans military service in Sweden, commercial fishing in Alaska, sommelier certification, restaurant ownership in Stockholm and Mexico, and 12+ years as official brand representant for Mexico's most celebrated agave spirit producers.

Kajsa Litzen
Co-Owner · Food Director · Operations

Kajsa oversees food quality, kitchen operations, and the day-to-day running of Catering San Miguel. Her background in hospitality management and her obsessive attention to detail are what make every event run seamlessly — and taste extraordinary. She is the backbone of everything that goes on a plate.
